Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in microbiology, molecular biology, biology, chemistry, environmental science, or related field preferred, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Rudimentary knowledge to perform routine lab procedures under supervision.
• Ability to follow written lab protocols accurately.
• Ability to perform routine lab techniques (media prep, culture/isolation, DNA extraction, PCR, microscopy).
• Familiarity with lab instruments (spectrophotometers, microscopes, PCR).
• Ability to maintain accurate experimental records and notebooks.

Aufgaben

• Perform routine microbiology lab procedures including enrichment, isolation, cultivation, 16S identification, and phenotypic characterization.
• Support plant research by monitoring growth and phenotype.
• Prepare growth media, chemical stocks, and perform DNA extractions.
• Conduct routine lab assays and accurately record data.
• Maintain cultures, freezer stocks, and sample records.
• Keep detailed laboratory notebooks documenting procedures and results.
• Support a safe, clean lab environment and inventory management.
