A leading biotechnology firm is seeking a Microbiologist to coordinate and perform tests for SARS-CoV-2 and other health targets in wastewater and water samples. The successful candidate will conduct RNA extraction and PCR testing, maintain laboratory records, and ensure compliance with quality control standards. A B.S. or B.A. in biological science is required, along with experience in molecular testing. This role offers a Monday to Friday work schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience performing RNA/DNA extraction and PCR testing is required.
• Ability to compile, analyze, evaluate, and prepare laboratory reports.
• Extensive knowledge of the principles, theories, and practices of molecular testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wastewater sample concentration, RNA extraction and PCR molecular testing.
• Maintain laboratory record system of submitted samples.
• Evaluate, interpret, and validate laboratory results.
