Job summary

Vergence is seeking a candidate to support environmental molecular testing, focusing on wastewater sample concentration, RNA extraction and PCR analysis to advance project objectives.

You will maintain detailed records, evaluate and interpret results, and perform quality control on methods and equipment while assisting with reporting and assisting in evaluating new products used in environmental laboratory work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wastewater sample concentration, RNA extraction and PCR molecular testing.
• Maintain laboratory record system of submitted samples.
• Evaluate, interpret, and validate laboratory results.
• Conduct quality control checks on laboratory methods, materials and equipment.
• Assist with preparation of reports from data compiled.
• Participate in evaluation of new products used in environmental laboratory work.
