Job summary

Markent Personnel seeks a senior environmental leader to direct environmental engineering, compliance and sustainability for a large manufacturing plant and three distribution centers.

You will supervise a diverse team, including environmental engineers, technicians, and hourly staff, reporting to the General Manager. The role emphasizes strategic direction and hands-on management of air, water and waste programs, with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for environmental engineering, compliance and sustainability.
• Direct supervision of a large team including Environmental Engineers, an Environmental Technician and hourly staff.
• Coordinate responsibilities with the General Manager.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
• Oversee air permitting (Title V, PSD/NSR), water and waste management.

Job description

The position will provide leadership and strategic direction for all environmental engineering, compliance and sustainability activities for a large manufacturing plant and (3) distribution centers with up to (25%) travel when needed.

Direct supervision of a large team including (3) Environmental Engineers, an Environmental Technician and an hourly environmental team.Position will report to the General Manager

Technical expertise should include all areas of air (permitting including Title V, PSD/NSR permits), water and waste management.

The key to this position is having proven experience managing a complex environmental program at a plant level AND managing environmental professionals.*Leadership and management are most important!
