Colorado Network Staffing (CNS) is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to support a federal construction project at Grand Canyon National Park's North Rim. This position oversees environmental compliance throughout all phases of construction, ensuring work is performed in accordance with contract requirements, National Park Service (NPS) regulations, environmental permits, and applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws. The Environmental Manager monitors field activities, conducts environmental inspections, coordinates with project management, subcontractors, and government representatives, and implements measures to protect natural resources while supporting project objectives. Experience with federal construction, wastewater treatment facilities, heavy civil construction, utility infrastructure, and remote project environments is strongly preferred.
This position is based on-site at Grand Canyon National Park's North Rim and requires working in a remote federal construction environment. The role includes both office and field responsibilities and requires frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions while supporting construction activities in environmentally sensitive areas.
This position requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors for extended periods. The ability to navigate uneven terrain, perform field inspections, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds is required.
This is a full-time position. Work schedules may include extended hours, weekends, or overtime as necessary to support project milestones and seasonal construction activities.
Travel to and from the project site is required. This position requires working at a remote project location for the duration of the project.
