Job summary

NRDC is seeking Spring Litigation Interns to work with the lawyers associated with our Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. offices. This is not a remote position. We ask that you are able to commit being in office 1 day/week, determined by your class schedule.

The Internship lasts about 10 weeks, with a total stipend of $4,000 for 140 hours of work. Interns may choose scheduling options including 7/20, 10/14, or 14/10 hour weeks.

Responsibilities

• Researching and preparing legal memos in support of rulemaking and litigation.
• Interviewing NRDC members and preparing standing declarations.
• Drafting and reviewing pleadings and briefs.
• Preparing comments for administrative agencies or legislative bodies.
• Crafting proposed legislation to address environmental and public health problems.
