Job summary

Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) seeks Summer Legal Interns to support attorneys across core issue areas such as Human Health, Equity & Justice, Climate & Energy, and Nature. Hybrid in-office schedule with 3 days per week in the office (Tue–Thu).

Paid internship with a $10,000 stipend distributed bi-weekly over 10 weeks. Open to current 2L law students and to part-time or dual-degree students who have completed at least one year and will not graduate before summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to and support broad range of legal and policy advocacy
• Play an active role on the frontlines to protect the environment and public health
• Contribute to research and memo drafting, litigation support, and pleadings review
• Assist with comments to administrative agencies or legislative bodies
• Help craft proposed legislation addressing environmental and public health problems
