NRDC is seeking a Howard-NRDC Legal Fellow to join the Litigation Team in one of our U.S. offices: Chicago; New York; San Francisco; Santa Monica; or Washington, D.C. This is a 2 year fellowship starting Fall 2027 through Fall 2029.

The Howard-NRDC Legal Fellowship is open to graduates from Howard University School of Law in 2024 or later, or current Howard Law students who will graduate in 2026-2027. Applicants must be available to start by Fall 2027.

Qualificações

• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
• Strong oral communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Support on active cases and case development projects.
• Collaborate with program staff, clients, experts, and partners to support litigation goals.
• Conduct legal research and draft briefs, motions, and memoranda.
• Participate in court hearings and depositions when opportunities arise.
• Assist in building NRDC's litigation capacity and intern programs.
