The Environmental Protection Division (EPD) of the WA State Attorney General’s Office seeks an Assistant Attorney General to litigate significant environmental lawsuits in a fast-paced environment. The attorney will lead affirmative environmental investigations and litigations to protect Washingtonians and our environment, with experience in environmental and energy law highly valued.

• Two years of civil litigation experience; preferred.

Responsibilities

• Litigate affirmative civil environmental cases.
• Direct and assist in investigations and case development.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
• Develop federal administrative matters and file challenges.
• Represent AGO in public settings.
• Conduct discovery and participate in motions.
• Handle appeals as needed.
