RT Specialty is seeking an Inside Broker to join our Environmental Liability practice in Chicago, IL. This role targets environmental insurance professionals who can solve complex placement challenges and build trusted relationships with retail brokers and carrier partners.

We offer a performance-based compensation package with an annual base salary range and bonus opportunities. The position emphasizes technical expertise, market knowledge, and growth within a specialized team.

Qualifications

• Experience in Environmental Liability underwriting or wholesale brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of environmental risks, coverages, and market solutions.
• Property & Casualty and/or Surplus Lines license, or ability to obtain required licensing.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze environmental liability submissions.
• Develop placement strategies for new and renewal business.
• Market accounts to carrier partners.
• Negotiate coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Support retail brokers with complex environmental risks and placements.
• Build and maintain strong broker and carrier relationships.
• Identify opportunities to develop and grow business.
• Collaborate with environmental specialists to deliver effective client solutions.
