Job summary

Lilly in Goochland County, Virginia, is seeking a Sr. Principal Associate – Environmental to join the Richmond HSE team as the site's technical authority on environmental compliance during startup and GMP operations.

You will design, implement, and maintain programs for air, wastewater, waste, and regulatory reporting, guiding cross-functional teams through design decisions and startup readiness. This role requires a Bachelor's in a relevant field, 5+ years in chemical manufacturing or GMP

Qualifications

• Excellent organization and time management skills with strong analytical ability.

• Ability to lead and influence without direct authority in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities

• Own, develop, and lead the environmental readiness plan for the Lilly Richmond facility, including air, wastewater, refrigerants, and waste programs.
• Partner with project teams to shape environmental design decisions and startup plans while ensuring compliance.
• Develop and roll out environmental programs, procedures, tools, and training to build technical capability and a strong HSE culture.
• Lead collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to govern change and ensure safe startup of new systems.
• Coordinate internal and external regulatory reporting and ensure timely submissions.
