Qualifications

• At least one year of legal experience, with some environmental/natural resources law experience.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Strong time management and ability to handle diverse tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, staff, and law students.
• JD or other law degree from a State Bar-accredited or ABA-approved law school.
• Member in good standing of the State Bar of California or eligible under CA Rule 9.45.
• 1-3 years legal experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, briefs, and other filings.
• Handle discovery, participate in trials and appeals, and appear on behalf of Clinic clients.
• Provide clients with legal advice, public speaking, and advocacy; assist with media appearances and clinic support.
• Collaborate with Clinic students on matters and guide them as they develop their skills.
