Qualifications

• JD or equivalent law degree is required.
• Advanced degrees in environmental law (e.g., LLM, SJD) are highly desirable.
• Established record of scholarly research and publications in environmental law.
• Proven experience in teaching and curriculum development at the law school level.
• Demonstrated leadership with the ability to manage complex programs and initiatives.
• Strong commitment to community engagement and public service in environmental law.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and continually enhance the Environmental Law Center curriculum.
• Direct research and programmatic initiatives, seeking external funding.
• Teach core and elective environmental law courses.
• Lead the summer program management and outreach.
• Foster community engagement and partnerships with stakeholders.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate Environmental Law Center staff.
• Collaborate with the Maverick Lloyd School for the Environment on interdisciplinary programs.
• Represent VLGS at conferences and committees.
