Job summary
Ramboll US Corporation seeks an Environmental Land Use Planner in Princeton, NJ (or nearby offices) to support zoning, entitlement, land use, and development strategy initiatives. You will assist senior staff with zoning research, ordinance analysis, permitting strategy, and stakeholder engagement on diverse development projects.
Ideal candidates have strong research, writing, and analytical skills, and are eager to work across municipalities to advance project entitlements and regulatory
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or related field.
- 0–3 years of professional planning or GIS experience.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret zoning ordinances and codes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; GIS experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research and analysis of zoning ordinances and planning documents.
- Prepare entitlement matrices and guidance documents.
- Assist with applications for rezonings, zoning text amendments, variances, and development approvals.
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting timelines and entitlements.
- Develop and maintain project tracking tools and zoning databases.
- Prepare memoranda, maps, presentations, and reports for stakeholders.
- Support due diligence reviews for prospective sites.
- Coordinate with engineers, legal counsel, surveyors and development teams.
- Maintain organized project records and documentation of decisions.
