Job summary

Ramboll US Corporation is seeking an Environmental Land Use Planner to support zoning, entitlement, land use, and development strategy initiatives for diverse clients. The role involves assisting senior planners with zoning research, ordinance analysis, permitting strategy, stakeholder engagement, and implementation of land use approvals for development projects.

The position is based in Ramboll offices in Princeton NJ, Blue Bell PA, or Binghamton NY, with a focus on municipal planning

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning or related field.
0–3 years of professional planning or land use experience.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to read and interpret zoning ordinances and planning documents.

Responsibilities

Conduct independent research and analysis of municipal zoning ordinances and planning documents.
Prepare entitlement matrices and guidance documents for project teams.
Assist with applications for rezonings, zoning text amendments, and land development approvals.
Monitor regulatory developments affecting timelines and entitlements.
Support development and maintenance of project tracking tools and schedules.
Prepare technical memoranda, maps, and presentations communicating findings.
Support due diligence reviews for prospective sites, including land use regulations and development standards.
Coordinate with engineers, environmental professionals, and legal counsel to support entitlement strategies.
Maintain organized project records and documentation of regulatory requirements.
