Job summary

CECO Environmental Corporation is seeking a Transcend IDEA Lab Technician to support gas processing, refining, and chemical industries with analytical reports and data-driven insights. You will plan and perform investigations, coordinate third-party analyses, and prepare narrative reports for customer delivery.

Preferred candidates hold an associate degree or higher in a related field, with 1+ year of lab experience, and familiarity with SEM/EDS, microscopy, filtration testing, and CFD-related

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Materials Science, Environmental Science, or related field. (preferred)
• 1+ year of laboratory experience (academic or professional).
• Familiarity with microscopy, filtration testing, or chemical analysis methods.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with SEM/EDS, filtration media testing, or industrial process analysis.
• Background in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial contamination analysis.
• Knowledge of CFD-related data inputs or separation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory Testing & Analysis: Conduct testing to identify particle size, physical characteristics, and chemical composition of contaminants to support root cause analysis.
• Technical Support & Reporting: Generate detailed test reports and assist CFD validation and advanced technical service projects.
• Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment ensuring safety and quality.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with field service technicians, application engineers, and product specialists to integrate lab insights into solutions.
