Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Full-Time Laboratory Technician in our Denver, CO Laboratory to prep and handle samples, maintain accurate records, and keep a clean, compliant workspace to ensure on-time results. This role offers hands-on experience with environmental testing in a collaborative, safety-focused team.

You’ll work with analytical equipment such as balances, pipettes, bottle top dispensers, hot blocks and glassware, contribute to QA/QC, and grow your expertise in metals preparation and EPA

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Bachelor’s degree in any science field is a plus
• Minimum 1 year of lab experience preferred
• Knowledge of general lab practices and lab safety
• Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques preferred (PPE, balance, pipetting, glassware handling)
• Experience in metal preparation is a plus
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extensive periods of time

Responsibilities

• Capable of high-throughput preparation of environmental samples for metals testing.
• Proficiency using analytical equipment including: balances, pipettes, bottle top dispensers, hot blocks, and volumetric/glassware.
• Daily monitoring of sample scheduling to ensure that samples are processed within EPA’s and methods’ holding time
• Schedule workload to process samples within clients’ expected due dates
• Routine sample preparation according to Standard Methods and EPA methods
• Performs analyst’s review of data and QC
• Reviews of QA/QC criteria for batch acceptance
• Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and follow safe work practices
• Participates in instruments’ preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
• Participates in focus teams to improve efficiency
• Be flexible in work schedule including overtime when needed
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as prescribed by the Company
• Compliance with our Quality Assurance Program and other policies
