Job summary

The Associate Scientist at Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) supports environmental testing by preparing and analyzing samples with standard analytical methods. The role involves data evaluation, reporting, instrument maintenance, and strict adherence to SOPs and QA programs.

The position requires English proficiency, a scientific degree or equivalent experience, and the ability to work a 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm). Comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry or related field, OR an Associate Degree.
• 2 years of related laboratory experience in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency with computers and data reporting.
• Professional English reading, writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques.
• Performs routine lab tasks to gain familiarity with methods and SOPs.
• Conducts chemical analysis and evaluates data.
• Records and reports data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor.
• Maintains routine instrument upkeep and uses instrument software as trained.
• Ensures training records and QC samples are current and completed on time.
