Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) is seeking an Associate Chemist to prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard analytical techniques in compliance with QA programs. The role may require standing, handling organics, glassware, and specialized equipment.

The position is 2nd shift, 2pm-10:30pm, Tue-Sat, with training Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm. BS in Chemistry or related field and English proficiency are required. Competitive salary with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Chemistry or related field or 2 years of related lab experience.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs.
• Preparation of samples using standard techniques
• Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques
• Evaluation and quantification of data
• Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
• Performing routine instrument maintenance
• Competency in complex instrumentation instrument specific software (training is provided)
• Responsible for keeping personal training documentation (training records, IDOC/DOC) current and accurate
• Responsible for timely completion of assigned/scheduled QC samples (MDL, LOD/LOQ, PT)
• As required, documents NCMs for projects with quality issues
• Understands and utilizes backlog reports to manage personal workload
• Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Responsible for general housekeeping in work area
• Proficient with IDOCs, for assigned methods carried out in the department
• Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins Environment health and safety and quality assurance standards
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Inventories and stocks laboratory supplies
• Washes and inventories glassware
• Purges analyzed samples
• Assists in other areas of laboratory when needed
• Additional duties as assigned
