Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Project Manager Assistant for our Richmond, VA lab to support coordinating environmental projects, manage sample intake, documentation review, and client communications.

You will help ensure accuracy, compliance and timely processing from sample receipt to reporting, joining a team that values responsibility and real-world impact. Compensation ranges $20.00 to $26.00 per hour, with a 10:30 AM to 7 PM schedule and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• Previous laboratory, sample receiving, or administrative coordination experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; LIMS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with login, tracking, storage, and verification of client samples.
• Provide administrative support to Project Managers on assigned projects.
• Assist with scheduling, tracking deadlines, and monitoring project progress.
• Coordinate communication between laboratory departments and clients; support reports and data packages.
