Qualifications

  • Commitment to student mentoring and client-facing lab operations.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 4–5 undergraduate environmental science courses (12–15 credits) per year plus mentoring courses (~50%).
  • Direct the BYU Environmental Analytical Lab (EAL), including client-facing work and mentoring students.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and QC systems ensuring analyses meet established standards.
  • Oversee budgeting, purchasing, instrument installation/maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Serve on graduate committees and engage in governance within the department.
