Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Analyst I to prepare and analyze environmental samples following EPA methods. You will work under supervision to develop instrument proficiency, perform routine analysis, and maintain QA/EHS compliance.

The position is full-time on 2nd shift (Tue–Fri 2pm–11pm, Sat 9am–5pm, with potential first shift training). Pay ranges from $20–$22/hour plus shift differential; comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in chemistry or related field; 3 years lab experience may substitute.
• Lab experience is a plus.
• Past production-oriented work helpful (deadlines).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate.
• Prepare samples using standard techniques.
• Perform chemical analysis using standard techniques.
• Calculate data and report results to supervisor.
• Record and report any unusual test occurrences.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and QA standards.
• General housekeeping in the work area.
• Train on complex instrumentation (GC, GC-MS, AAS, ICP).
• Aliquots and weighs samples.
• Washes glassware.
• Follow safe and efficient work practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
