Louisiana Bucket Brigade seeks an experienced Communications Manager to elevate LABB’s mission around environmental health and justice. You will craft communications plans, coordinate earned media, and oversee LABB’s digital presence, ensuring a consistent voice across departments and with community partners.

The role reports to the Executive Director, is full-time and hybrid (in person with one remote day weekly), with occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifikationen

• Ten years of communications experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong editing and proofreading skills with close attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with community partners.
• Demonstrated commitment to racial justice and openness to feedback.
• Driver’s license required.

Aufgaben

• Creates communications plan in collaboration with staff and directs media strategy.
• Ensures consistency of communications across program and development teams.
• Maintains communications calendar including press events and newsletters.
• Engages and supervises volunteers in communications tasks.
• Stays current with media trends to keep LABB on the cutting edge.
• Builds relationships with local, state, and national media contacts.
• Drafts and distributes press releases, advisories, talking points, and statements.
