Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. seeks motivated Environmental Interns for Summer 2027 at our New York, NY office.

This paid full-time internship runs June through August 2027, with potential to transition into a full-time role after graduation. You'll work under project managers and team leaders, supporting data entry, field sampling, and engineering calculations while collaborating with engineers, scientists, and technologists.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid technical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with engineering software (AutoCAD, Mathcad, ESRI, Hydro Cad, Water Cad, ArcView GIS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project tasks including regulatory requirements/review estimates and procurement support.
• Perform data entry, data management, data evaluation, and data presentation.
• Field assistance with groundwater, soil, and ecological sampling.
• Field work oversight such as soil excavation and due diligence inspections.
• Perform engineering calculations and design assistance as needed.
