Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. seeks Environmental Interns for its Summer 2027 intern program at the Ann Arbor, MI office. This paid full-time internship runs June through August 2027 with potential transition to a full-time role after graduation.

You will work under Project Managers and Team Leaders, collaborating with engineers, scientists and technologists. Responsibilities include supporting regulatory tasks, data handling, field sampling, and data presentation, plus field oversight and engineering

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid technical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and eager to learn.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support project tasks including regulatory requirements and procurement support.
• Perform data entry, management, evaluation, and presentation.
• Field assistance with groundwater, soil, and ecological sampling.
• Field work oversight such as soil excavation and inspections.
• Perform engineering calculations and design support as needed.
• Carry out related duties as required.
