Job summary

Langan is seeking an Environmental Intern/Co-op in Parsippany, NJ to support environmental aspects of land development projects and assist with field work, data collection, and reporting under supervision.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology with a 3.0 GPA, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team.

Qualifications

Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
GPA of 3.0 or greater.
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Working knowledge of GIS or environmentally related software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Travel may be required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Assist with field investigations by logging borings, collecting samples, and recording data.
Monitor construction projects by performing tests to verify compliance with specs.
Document results and prepare reports.
Learn data management and modeling tools for environmental media.
Use reports, maps, drawings, and aerial photos to assess soil, hydrology, topo/geology for planning.
Perform other duties as requested.
