The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving our EHS programs to align with operational goals and ensure a safe, compliant, and sustainable workplace. This role is responsible for the execution of the program in completion. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies, conducting risk assessments, and leading safety audits to mitigate hazards. The EHS Specialist will lead incident investigations, provide EHS training, and champion sustainability initiatives. In addition, this role oversees facility maintenance, manages emergency preparedness, and ensures contractors adhere to EHS standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant EHS regulations.
Certification(s) such as CSP, ASP, or CIH (preferred but not required).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to assess risk in a proactive manner.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and influence employees across all levels.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-moving environment.
Experience in leading sustainability or environmental stewardship programs (preferred).
