Job summary

City of Livermore seeks a skilled Safety Program Administrator to develop, monitor, and administer safety, health, and environmental training compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. Under general direction, you will deliver training, prepare course materials, and coordinate staff training efforts across departments.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety records, coordinating with the Risk Manager, investigating hazards, preparing reports, and supporting emergency preparedness

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible experience in safety program regulatory compliance, training, and policy development.
• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, industrial safety, or related field.
• Experience coordinating training, analyzing data, and preparing written reports.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and explains safety requirements; maintains program records and safety training data.
• Serves as safety program coordinator; prepares agenda packets and minutes for safety committees.
• Develops and conducts technical training programs; coordinates department training plans.
• Inspects facilities for compliance; investigates hazards, incidents and environmental risks.
• Collaborates with Risk Manager; supports emergency preparedness planning and drills.
