Job summary

Nortek Air Solutions, LLC seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to establish and promote a safe, accident‑free workplace. You will provide expertise in administering occupational health and safety programs and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines across our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include policy development, investigations, training, audits and HR collaboration to resolve workers’ compensation claims; CSP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in safety and health.
• Ten years of directly related experience in occupational health and safety.
• Working knowledge of Federal/State regulations and laws regarding Safety & Health.
• Experience in Manufacturing environments.
• Experience working with Worker’s Compensation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local legislation and codes governing occupational health and safety.
• Develop policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review and analyze work environments to design programs eliminating disease or injury from chemical/ergonomic factors.
• Lead accident investigation, data analysis and recurrence prevention programs.
• Conduct on-site reviews and audits; recommend corrective measures.
• Provide leadership and technical support to operations.
• Ensure training and corrective actions follow-up is completed.
• Conduct safety orientations, trainings and monthly Safety Meetings.
• Coordinate equipment inspections (monthly/bi-annual/yearly).
• Evaluate new safety equipment for appropriateness.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance.
• Attend conferences to stay updated on safety methods and codes.

Job Summary

Responsible for establishing and promoting a safe, accident free, health work environment. Provide skilled knowledge and expertise in the administration and support of occupational health and safety programs. Job Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local legislation and codes governing occupational health and safety.
• Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
• Review, evaluate, and analyze work environments and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical and/or physical agents or ergonomic factors.
• Develop and implement accident investigation, data analysis, and recurrence prevention programs and procedures.
• Conduct on-site reviews and audits of operations and facilities; recommend corrective or preventative measures where indicated.
• Provide leadership, guidance and technical support to operations.
• Ensure personnel training and corrective actions follow-up is completed.
• Conduct safety orientation, trainings and monthly Safety Meetings.
• Coordinate monthly, bi-annual, and/or yearly equipment inspections.
• Evaluate new safety equipment for appropriateness.
• Respond and provide assistance to all emergency situations.
• Attend conferences, meetings, and workshops to keep up-to-date on new safety methods and procedures to applicable codes and regulations or to maintain required level of certification.
• Interact closely with Human Resources to quickly resolve workers’ compensation claims.
• Purchase necessary safety supplies, equipment, etc. as needed.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in safety and health or related discipline.
• Ten years of directly related experience in occupational health and safety compliance.
• Working knowledge of Federal/State regulations and laws regarding Safety & Health Compliance.
• Experience in Manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with Worker’s Compensation.

Preferred:

• CSP Certification
• Professional certifications in EH&S.
