POSITION SUMMARY:
Administers policies and procedures that cover functional areas in the Environmental, Health, and Safety job family to ensure safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment. Makes sure employees in functional areas follow established procedures and ensure company compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Safety, Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering, and six (6) to eight (8) years of experience preferably in a chemical, explosive, or manufacturing environment or any combination of education and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to do the job.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work will take place in a combination office/shop environment. Employee may be required to work weekends, holidays, and be on-call on occasion. While performing the duties of this job, employees may be exposed to mechanical or chemical processes requiring the use of personnel protective equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to work weekends, holidays, or be on call. Overnight travel is required as necessary.
