The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company invites undergraduate and graduate students to gain hands-on experience in construction environmental health and safety (EH&S). Interns will support project teams by helping manage EH&S programs on construction sites and in offices.
Assignments include safety onboarding, site inspections, planning permits, and incident investigations. Housing may be provided in certain situations.

Open to undergraduate and graduate students interested in gaining hands-on practical experience in the construction environmental health and safety (EH&S) field. Qualified applicants will assist project teams in managing EH&S programs on construction projects.
Preferred candidates should be pursuing a degree in environmental health and safety management or a closely related field of study.

Reporting Relationship: Interns will report to a EH&S Manager.
Tasks Assigned: You will be learning the environmental health and safety management aspects of the construction project in the field. Your experience will include some or all the following:
You should be familiar with the following software: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, etc.
Proven ability to plan, schedule and coordinate subcontract trades is paramount along with ability to interface well with Owners, Architects, Engineers, including the on-site management team.
This wage range is for Maryland and New Jersey only.
