Dizario Search is conducting a search for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer located in Reading, Pennsylvania. This opportunity is with a well-established industrial manufacturing organization operating within highly regulated, heavy manufacturing environments. The EHS Engineer will play a key role in supporting site safety programs, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with plant leadership and operations teams.

This individual will be responsible for identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, supporting regulatory compliance, and leading key EHS projects across a complex manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification, evaluation, and control of occupational hazards in a manufacturing environment
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend engineering and administrative controls
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Support safety audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors
• Partner with engineering and operations on equipment, process, and facility changes
• Manage or support complex, multi-disciplinary EHS initiatives and projects

EHS Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, EHS, or related field
• 10+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and industrial safety standards
• Experience leading audits, investigations, and compliance programs
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Certifications such as CSP or CIH preferred
