Job description

Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety Engineer

Location: Multiple Locations

Job Type: Full-time salary position

Travel: Up to 95%

Salary Range: $80,000 - $102,000. Medical & Dental Benefits. Life & Disability Benefits, 401(k), Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays.

Duties/Responsibilities/Physical Requirements:

1. Conduct general Health & Safety training for each new hire
2. Complete Project Start Safety Surveys and site-specific safety & health plans for projects
3. Review all safety plans with project supervisors prior to commencement of work
4. Responsible for administering and enforcing Brandenburg's environmental, health & safety program, policies, and procedures.
5. Conduct safety inspections; responsible for data reporting involving inspections
6. Perform on-site environmental sampling and assessments as required; maintain all instrumentation for monitoring, complete all reports, and train employees in the use of safety & health assessment instrumentation
7. Coordinate with onsite supervisors to conduct accident or injury investigations; review incidents with operations managers
8. Perform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies

Essential Job Functions:

1. Ability to perform safety sensitive tasks
2. Ability to work with hazardous materials
3. Ability to work productively in various weather conditions
4. Agility, bodily coordination & dexterity of hands and feet
5. Ability to walk and work on uneven surfaces
6. Ability to occasionally climb stairs and ladders
7. Blood lead level below 25 micrograms / deciliter

Education / Experience:

Candidates with a Bachelor degree in EHS, IH, or related discipline preferred

Job Specific Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

1. Minimum 5 years field experience working outdoors
2. Experience in Demolition industry preferred
3. Strong computer skills and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
