Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our compliance team at our headquarters in Mather, CA. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Compliance & EHS, this full-time role will oversee safety and environmental management programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a safety culture aligned with CEAR’s environmental commitments.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, DMV, California standards).
  • Maintain environmental and safety documentation, ensuring ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to authorities.
  • Conduct safety inspections, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Develop safety training programs and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Analyze safety data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Manage Hazardous Waste systems, handling, disposal, and documentation.
  • Provide regulatory guidance across departments.
  • Update Emergency Action Plans and Procedures regularly.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic waste recycling processes is preferred.
  • Experience with EHS management systems and ISO standards; auditor training is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA, CCR, Cal OSHA regulations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: $65,000 - $95,000 annually, based on experience.

Work Schedule:
  • Full-time, onsite: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM at Mather, CA.
