Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Keosauqua, IA is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to partner with operations and drive safety as a core value. You will investigate incidents, report findings, and implement corrective actions in line with OSHA and environmental requirements.

You will develop and deliver clear EHS training, perform daily safety communications, conduct Gemba walks, and assist with audits to maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 5 years of relevant EHS experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Training preferred.
• Experience with Enablon or other EHS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to the plant EHS Manager and staff; investigate, recognize, report, and recommend corrective actions on safety and environmental issues.
• Communicate safety priorities and regulatory updates across the facility.
• Conduct daily safety discussions and Gemba walks; assist with incident investigations.
• Develop and deliver clear EHS training in alignment with OSHA and company policies.
• Audit and maintain compliance programs for safety and environmental requirements.
