We Guide, You Grow LLC is recruiting for an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager on behalf of a well-established steel manufacturing company in Johnstown, PA. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a safety-focused professional with strong experience in manufacturing environments.

Position Summary:
The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, knowledgeable about federal and state regulations, and able to foster a culture of safety and compliance throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all EHS initiatives, ensuring full compliance with OSHA, EPA, DEP, and other relevant regulations.
  • Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses; develop corrective action plans as needed.
  • Manage and investigate incidents and near-misses, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
  • Deliver effective training programs to employees and management, ensuring safety standards are understood and practiced.
  • Monitor and manage environmental compliance, including hazardous waste handling and emissions reporting.
  • Partner with leadership and operations to integrate safety into all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably steel manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DEP regulations.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are a plus.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $95,000 – $120,000, commensurate with experience
  • Competitive benefits package
