POSITION SUMMARY

The EHS Coordinator is responsible for assisting the EHS Manager in compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations. This position is required to educate and implement all safety procedures and policies. The EHS Coordinator will facilitate and support a continuous improvement and safety conscious culture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values.The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

  1. Leads teams to establish a World Class Environmental, Health & Safety Program and Culture.

  2. Tracks and leads continuous improvement Risk Assessment reductions with Cross Functional Work Teams.

  3. Educates employees on EHS topics, implements processes, procedures, and regulations.

  4. Completes and/or work with Contractors to monitor and/or test Industrial Hygiene and Safety exposure.
  5. Assists Human Resources when requested including but not limited to work comp claims.

  6. Leads the Safety Committee monthly training including ongoing program improvements.

  7. Investigates Near Hits, First Aid, OSHA Recordables including Loss Time Injuries and Property Damage.

  8. Files EHS documentation and shares EHS Communications site wide.

  9. Facilitates New Employee Safety Orientation, AWAIR, and regular ongoing Safety Training.

  10. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’S): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma required.

  • Associate degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety preferred.

  • 3+ years working in a manufacturing setting preferred.

  • General knowledge of Federal and South Dakota State EHS regulations and standards required.

  • 5+ years of experience in an EHS role or Safety Committee preferred.
  • OSHA Certification (30 hours) preferred.
