An established industry player is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator to oversee compliance and safety initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations. This role involves preparing regulatory reports, coordinating safety inspections, and leading continuous improvement efforts for a safer workplace. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in environmental safety within manufacturing, possess strong analytical and organizational skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Overall Purpose of Position
Reporting to the Regional Environmental, Health & Safety Manager, North America, the Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring environmental regulatory compliance, a safe and healthy work environment for employees, and the cohesive operation of the department. The EHS Coordinator will also make recommendations for continuous improvement and lead these initiatives for all of Northern Engraving's manufacturing locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of Environmental, Health and Safety supervisory experience in a manufacturing organization (automotive OEM or Tier experience highly preferred).
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene or other related field.
Experience with air reporting and permitting, Clean Air Act, and other regulatory requirements.
Working knowledge of environmental remediation programs strongly preferred.
Extensive knowledge of industrial safety, waste water programs, OSHA regulations, and accident prevention.
Ability to systematically analyze hazards (through the use of problem solving tools) and recommend corrective actions where indicated.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet project deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
High level of initiative, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to gain consensus and positively reinforce change.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
