Walworth County seeks an Environmental Health Coordinator to lead the Environmental Health program, supervise two specialists, and guide countywide services. You will plan, implement, and evaluate environmental health activities, including water quality and lead poisoning prevention, under the Health Officer’s guidance.

Responsibilities include staff onboarding, training, performance reviews, budgeting, contracts, and reporting to funding sources.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health or related field plus professional experience in program coordination or leadership.
• Master’s degree preferred; knowledge of Wisconsin Public Health Statutes is a plus.
• Experience supervising staff and managing budgets or contracts is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct program supervision for two Environmental Health Specialists.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Environmental Health program and ensure measurable outcomes.
• Oversee water quality monitoring, laboratory direction, and child lead poisoning prevention.
• Develop objectives, manage budgets and contracts, and report to the Health Officer.
• Lead onboarding, training, and performance development for staff.
• Collaborate with other divisions and county departments to improve environmental health outcomes.
