Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in physical or natural science with no less than 30 semester hours or 40 quarter hours of major course work in physical or natural sciences.
• Valid driver's license.
• Private automobile to travel while performing work related assignments.
• Incumbent in this position is required to be a Certified Environmental Health Professional in the area of Food Hygiene within six (6) months of hiring.

Aufgaben

• Conduct environmental health inspections in facilities including schools, theaters, bars, residential facilities, and other listed sites.
• Take environmental samples including water and food as applicable for quality control or investigation.
• Review facility plans and ensure compliance with plan review requirements; document inspection details accurately.
• Investigate disease outbreaks and environmental sanitation nuisance complaints and follow up until abated.
• Educate the public and stakeholders on environmental health regulations and best practices.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies; participate in inter-agency actions as needed.
