Job summary
Allegan County Government seeks a manager for its environmental health field program to serve as an expert resource for sanitarians. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Biology or Chemistry.
- Registered Environmental Health Specialist or Registered Sanitarian.
- Knowledge of Part 91 Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Program.
- Knowledge of the State of Michigan Pool & Campground rules.
- Knowledge of the public health accreditation process and familiarity with minimum program requirements for the water and sewage programs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality assurance analysis on permits and inspection reports for water and sewage programs.
- Serve as content expert for residential/commercial sites and related programs; review plans, issue permits, and conduct inspections.
- Train all new staff in related programs and software/technical writing.
- Perform staff performance evaluations, coach and discipline as needed.
- Approve timesheets, PTO, expenses, and purchase orders for staff.
- Prepare water, sewage, and soil erosion reports for EGLE and the County Board.
