Overview

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Technician supports the implementation and maintenance of workplace safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. The position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with developing and/or reviewing safety training content.
  • Deliver safety training content to employees.
  • Lead daily EHS departmental audits and checks.
  • Participate in EHS inspections, propose corrective actions, and track items to closure.
  • Participate in investigating safety incidents and concerns and proposing corrective actions.
  • Support daily EHS activities and program maintenance, as appropriate, to ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Skills and Experience
  • Skilled in using computer software, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work within a team and work independently to identify EHS issues and develop containment and remediation actions.
  • Knowledge in machine and equipment safety including automation.
  • Familiarity with all current Federal, State (MIOSHA) and Local environmental and safety regulations.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasion skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (higher year level) in Occupational Health and Safety or related field or 1–2 years of experience in an EHS role in manufacturing.
  • Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal workplace instructions.
  • Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day.
