Knowles Precision Devices is seeking an EHS Technician to support environmental, health, and safety programs. You will conduct inspections, identify hazards, and help ensure regulatory compliance across the facility.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma; associate or bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in EHS, safety, or industrial environments.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general workplace safety practices.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct inspections and work with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data/document management.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and hazard assessments.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with incident, injury, and near-miss investigations.
  • Maintain OSHA-required records, inspection reports, and EHS documentation.
  • Support implementation and enforcement of company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct or assist with employee safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks.
  • Monitor PPE requirements and ensure appropriate PPE is available and used.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness, evacuation drills, and response procedures.
  • Perform environmental inspections and assist with waste management and spill prevention programs.
  • Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable regulations.
  • Track corrective actions and follow up to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical inventories.
  • Assist with audits, regulatory inspections, and internal EHS assessments.
  • Prepare safety reports, metrics, and other documentation for management.
  • Promote employee awareness of safe work practices and environmental responsibilities.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The EHS Technician supports the organization’s environmental, health, and safety programs by conducting workplace inspections, identifying hazards, assisting with regulatory compliance, maintaining safety records, and promoting a strong safety culture. The position works closely with employees, supervisors, contractors, and management to help ensure a safe and environmentally compliant workplace.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general workplace safety practices.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct inspections and work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data/document management.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
