Job summary

Job description

Environmental Health and Safety Professional
  • Experience in a safety role within construction, industrial plants or similar industries
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in environmental health and safety, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.

An Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional ensures workplace safety and environmental compliance by developing safety programs, conducting inspections, and investigating incidents to meet OSHA and EPA regulations. They identify hazards, provide safety training, manage hazardous materials, and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and control chemical, physical, and biological.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on topics such as emergency response, hazardous material handling, and proper equipment usage.
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Create and update safety protocols, emergency response plans, and environmental compliance procedures.
