Environmental Health and Safety Manager EHS

Polynt Composites is hiring a hands-on, field-focused EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health, and Safety programs at our Forest Park chemical manufacturing facility. This is more than a desk job—it’s boots-on-the-ground leadership in a dynamic environment where your impact is felt daily.

What You’ll Do

As the EHS Manager, you’ll be part of the site leadership team and take ownership of all things safety and environmental:

1. Environmental Compliance
   • Manage compliance with EPA, RCRA, SPCC, SWPPP, and air permitting
   • Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs
   • Ensure compliance with industrial wastewater treatment standards
2. Health & Safety Leadership
   • Lead life-critical safety programs (LOTO, confined space, hot work)
   • Facilitate Safety Committee meetings and site safety initiatives
   • Conduct site audits, investigations, and corrective action planning
   • Deliver training (including new hire onboarding and LMS coordination)
3. Process Safety Management
   • Administer and audit the PSM program
   • Lead risk assessments, JHAs, and incident response efforts
   • Drive a culture of accountability and proactive safety practices

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field—or equivalent hands-on EHS experience
• 5+ years in an EHS leadership role in chemical or high-risk manufacturing
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, DOT, and PSM
• Experience responding to hazardous material incidents and environmental spills

Preferred Certifications
• CSP, CHMM, OSHA 30

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Training delivery and mentoring

• Competency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and LMS systems
