Job Title: EHS Manager

SFS is seeking an EHS Manager to join our team. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual who will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while working in collaboration with our professional, supportive, and passionate team.

The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing and directing environmental, health, and safety activities for SFS Group USA Division Construction. The role is based in Wyomissing, PA.

Responsibilities

• Champion division safety and environmental sustainability programs, including policy implementation, workforce training, performance tracking, document control, incident investigation/reporting, and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external federal, state, and local authorities and internal EHS contacts.
• Assist in developing and implementing programs to ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
• Ensure compliance with air permit requirements.
• Promote a culture of environmental consciousness and continuous EHS improvement, ensuring objectives are recognized and pursued organization-wide.
• Coordinate EHS compliance activities within functional teams.
• Manage worker's compensation incident investigations.
• Implement processes to reduce safety-related incidents.
• Prepare the division for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
• Support and monitor SFS Going Green initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's Degree in EHS or related science, or a minimum of 10 years managing EHS programs.
• At least 5 years of managing EHS in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state EHS regulations.
• Strong background in industrial hygiene, safety, and construction safety.
• Experience conducting classroom and virtual training sessions.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to travel occasionally to other SFS sites.
• Experience in hazard identification, evaluation, and control.
• Working knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 standards and 40 CFR environmental standards, including CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA, etc.
• Knowledge of General Industry Standards and Workers’ Compensation laws; experience working with third-party administrators is a plus.
