Job summary

Compliance Management International (CMI) is seeking an experienced EHS Site Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs at a Belle Mead, NJ manufacturing facility. This hands‑on leadership role will drive regulatory compliance, risk reduction, injury prevention, environmental performance, and continuous improvement in close partnership with site leadership.

The role requires 7–10 years of EHS experience with at least 3 years in leadership, strong OSHA knowledge, and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• 7–10 years of EHS experience, including at least 3 years in an EHS leadership or management role.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulatory requirements.
• Manufacturing or industrial EHS experience strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, investigation, and problem‑solving skills.
• CSP, CIH, NEBOSH, or similar professional EHS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve site EHS programs and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state and local regulations.
• Conduct facility inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and risk assessments.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Manage environmental programs, including waste, stormwater, wastewater, air emissions, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and manage contractor safety programs.
• Maintain required permits, records, regulatory submissions, and EHS documentation.
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Track and communicate EHS metrics, trends, and performance.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response activities.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, HR, and other site functions to strengthen safety culture and reduce operational risk.

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Site Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary
