Job summary

Taylor Farms is seeking a Regional Director of Environmental Health & Safety to lead safety strategy and compliance across Tennessee and Kentucky operations. You will shape safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with regional leadership and operations teams.

The role focuses on building leadership capabilities, driving safe decision-making, and delivering measurable improvements in TRIR and near-miss reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience.
• Multi-site manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, investigations, audits and compliance systems.
• Experience in food manufacturing or fast-paced manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the regional EHS strategy across Tennessee and Kentucky facilities.

Taylor Farms is North America's leading producer of fresh-cut salads and healthy fresh foods. As we continue to grow our Tennessee and Kentucky operations, we are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Regional Director of Environmental Health & Safety to lead the next phase of our safety journey.

This is a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the President and responsible for shaping safety strategy, strengthening compliance, building leadership capability, and creating a culture where every employee goes home safely at the end of every shift. The role supports multiple manufacturing and distribution facilities and serves as a key member of the regional leadership team.

What You'll Do

Lead Safety Strategy

• Develop and execute the regional EHS strategy across Tennessee and Kentucky operations.
• Standardize safety programs, procedures, and expectations across multiple facilities.
• Partner with executive leadership to establish goals, priorities, and long‑term safety objectives.
• Drive accountability and ownership at every level of the organization

Strengthen Compliance & Reduce Risk

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, TOSHA, Kentucky OSHA, environmental regulations, and company standards.
• Lead regulatory inspections, audits, investigations, and corrective action programs.
• Maintain audit‑ready systems and documentation.
• Proactively identify risks and implement preventive controls.

Build a World-Class Safety Culture

• Coach and develop site Safety Managers and operational leaders.
• Increase employee engagement in hazard reporting, incident prevention, and safety ownership.
• Partner closely with Operations, Human Resources, Maintenance, Engineering, and Food Safety teams.
• Establish safety as a core value integrated into daily decision‑making and operational execution.
• Utilize data, observations, and employee feedback to measure program effectiveness.
• Monitor key performance indicators, including TRIR, DART, near‑miss reporting, training compliance, and corrective action closure.
• Present safety performance, trends, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead initiatives that improve safety performance while supporting operational excellence.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience.
• Multi‑site manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, investigations, audits, and compliance systems.
• Demonstrated success leading safety culture transformation initiatives.
• Experience within food manufacturing, fresh produce, consumer packaged goods, logistics, or other fast‑paced manufacturing environments preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and relationship‑building skills.
