Job summary

PBK is seeking an Environmental Graphic Designer to join our integrated design team serving K–12 and higher education clients. You will develop experiential graphics, branding, signage, wayfinding, and printed materials from concept through execution, collaborating with architects and interior designers to deliver community-centered environments.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, 2+ years of experience, and strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Portfolio or website demonstrating design work.
  • Ability to travel to construction sites.

  • Create innovative designs that adapt to materials and brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop custom visual design packages.

Job description

The Environmental Graphic Designer will join an integrated design team of architects and interior designers to create vibrant, immersive experiences for K–12 and higher education clients. Our cross-disciplinary team collaborates within our respective specialties while offering support and conceptual feedback that extends beyond silos to develop dynamic, community-centered environments. This role applies design thinking, creativity, and innovation to projects including large-scale environmental graphics, experience design, branding, signage, wayfinding, presentations, and printed materials—from concept through execution.

Your Impact
  • Create innovative designs that can adapt to a variety of materials and situations using our customers’ brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to create custom visual design packages.
  • Work in unison with Architects and Interior Designers to provide unique specialized designs and plans.
  • Generate detailed designs and facilitate the production and installation of large-scale graphics.
  • Communicate design concepts verbally and visually.
Here’s What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in graphic design or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • A portfolio or website that demonstrates passionate and creative designs
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and excel in a fast past environment Ability to work independently with direction
  • Ability to travel to construction sites
