Job summary

The Foth Companies seeks an Environmental Regulatory & Grants Specialist to support coastal and waterfront infrastructure projects through regulatory permitting, grant administration, and funding strategies. Minimal travel and opportunity to base in any Midwest Foth office.

The ideal candidate combines strong organizational skills with technical writing and stakeholder engagement to secure and manage funding for infrastructure and environmental initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Planning, Natural Resources, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, review, and submit competitive grant applications and documentation per sponsor requirements.
• Manage grant administration from application to post‑award reporting with milestones and metrics.
• Lead environmental permitting and regulatory compliance for coastal/waterfront projects incl. docks, marinas, and shoreline work.
• Prepare and coordinate local, state, and federal permit applications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct environmental analyses and documentation (NEPA, EIS, EA, Biological Assessments, reports).
